The ADN-BSN Program represents an academic partnership model between SF State School of Nursing and select California Community College (CCC) institutions, facilitating nursing education advancement. This initiative enables qualified students to obtain both Associate and Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees within two and a half years of full-time enrollment, provided they fulfill University general education and community college degree prerequisites. Program admission coincides with acceptance into the Associate Degree Nursing Program (ADN) at College of San Mateo. The curriculum acknowledges prior academic achievements through transcript assessment and may award up to 20 units for passing California's nursing licensure examination (NCLEX). Upon dual admission to both the ADN and ADN-BSN programs, participants undertake additional coursework during regular semesters and summer sessions. Following ADN program completion, successful NCLEX examination results, and a final full-time semester in the ADN-BSN Program, graduates earn their BSN degree from San Francisco State University's School of Nursing.
