Our programs include bachelor's degrees in mathematics and statistics, covering applied mathematics (with multiple specialization options), data science, actuarial science, and education. At the graduate level, we provide mathematics master's programs (with concentrations in pure, applied, or teaching disciplines), along with master of science degrees in statistics and biostatistics. Faculty members participate in interdisciplinary PhD programs in mathematics and science education, as well as computational sciences. Mathematics and statistics provide powerful tools for addressing complex challenges: from crafting models for practical applications and devising efficient computational methods, to pioneering theoretical frameworks for unresolved questions. Some students appreciate mathematics as the foundation of scientific and technological advancement, while others are drawn to its inherent elegance, logical structure, and aesthetic appeal. Our Department's distinctive organization combines three interconnected disciplines - Mathematics, Mathematics Education, and Statistics & Data Science - fostering rich collaboration among faculty and students both within our department and throughout the university community.
