Physics serves as the cornerstone of existence and all cosmic phenomena. Beyond mastering core concepts, our students develop comprehensive programming abilities along with proficiency in mathematics, modeling, and data interpretation. The curriculum features numerous focused electives spanning quantum nanomaterials, biophysics, astrophysics, and other cutting-edge areas.
A physics degree creates pathways to remarkably varied professions mirroring the discipline's breadth: from R&D to leadership positions in corporate labs or government institutions, secondary education, technical sales, electronics engineering, and laser technology exploration. Alumni pursue diverse positions including data analysts, application programmers, audio specialists, instrumentation experts, theoretical researchers, and educators, among many others.
This adaptable program mandates 24 upper-level credits across mathematics, physics, and STEM fields. It complements well with minors in computer science, engineering, business administration, Spanish language studies, linguistics, or pre-professional tracks for law and medicine. Graduates emerge prepared for: advanced degrees in legal or medical fields, with minor-focused careers in application engineering, business technology systems, technical language conversion, and textual data processing.
