Theater explores life's complexities and human experiences. Our department is committed to providing a varied curriculum blending academic, artistic, and practical training. The Drama program gives majors and enthusiasts chances to act, design, construct, and manage stage productions. Classes range from Acting Fundamentals to Advanced Performance, Theater Appreciation, Makeup Techniques, Vocal Training, Stagecraft, Interpretation Skills, and Production Practicum. An Associate of Arts Degree with Drama concentration is available through either transfer pathways or completion of specified requirements.
Theater students gain hands-on experience via stage productions, involvement in Performance, Set/Costume Design, Technical Theater, and the Onstage Drama Club. A Theater degree offers versatile career paths across numerous fields. Graduates may pursue performance, creative design, production management, technical roles, research, entertainment media, education, arts administration, or even transition into fields like counseling or law - demonstrating this discipline's wide-ranging professional applications.
