Physics is the scientific discipline that examines matter, energy, and spacetime at their most basic levels. It serves as the cornerstone for all natural sciences and engineering fields. This field has introduced groundbreaking concepts like relativity, quantum theory, and the Big Bang model, radically transforming humanity's understanding of the cosmos. Parks College's Bachelor of Science in Physics emphasizes both core physics principles and their practical applications in engineering, computing, and scientific fields, while offering chances to engage in faculty-led research. The physics program equips students with robust analytical, computational, and laboratory expertise through coursework in mathematics, computer science, and physics. The curriculum covers classical and quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, statistical mechanics, along with optics, electronics, and contemporary physics.
