SLU's neuroscience program offers a blend of lectures, seminars, and hands-on lab work. The required curriculum features four foundational neuroscience courses: Fundamentals of Neuroscience: Molecular, Cellular and Systems; Fundamentals of Neuroscience: Behavioral and Cognitive; a neuroscience laboratory course; and a senior-year neuroscience seminar. Students must also enroll in supporting courses from biology and psychology departments, along with classes in chemistry, physics, mathematics, and philosophy. Completion of SLU's University Core requirements is mandatory. The program culminates with a capstone experience, offering choices like research projects, practical training, or advanced studies, all aimed at merging academic knowledge with real-world applications while exploring neuroscience's diverse scope.
