Saint Louis University offers an accelerated B.A. to M.S. program in computer science and software engineering, enabling students to earn both degrees faster than pursuing them separately. Through SLU's graduate software engineering program, students engage in hands-on projects with contemporary tools to build expertise and practical skills. They learn essential design approaches that foster lifelong innovation in their professional journeys. With guidance from distinguished faculty, much of the instruction occurs in small, collaborative classroom settings. The Computer Science Department at SLU provides both B.A. and B.S. options in computer science. The B.A. program incorporates liberal arts coursework and can be paired with another major or minor in disciplines like art, criminal justice, or psychology. This accelerated pathway lets SLU computer science undergraduates complete bachelor's and master's degrees within five years. Students can pair their computer science B.A. or B.S. with graduate degrees in computer science, software engineering, artificial intelligence, or bioinformatics and computational biology.
