Students enroll in the dual degree program as first-year undergraduates, gaining simultaneous acceptance into both the undergraduate and graduate programs. Those in the dual degree track secure a spot in the Master of Science in Finance & Investment Management program, provided they maintain the required academic standards throughout their undergraduate studies. This arrangement guarantees graduate program placement from their initial year, with defined milestones to advance into the master's program.
With guidance from their undergraduate advisors and involvement in Welch College of Business & Technology and Economics & Finance department initiatives, students receive comprehensive support to transition smoothly into graduate-level coursework.
The MSFIM Dual Degree Program enables students to obtain both a bachelor's degree and a Master of Science in Finance & Investment Management within five years. The traditional four-year undergraduate curriculum is followed by one year of graduate studies, culminating in dual degree conferral. This pathway is available to undergraduates majoring in:
Business Economics
Finance
Dual degree candidates can apply up to six graduate credits during their undergraduate studies, reducing overall tuition costs since these credits fulfill requirements for both degrees while covered under undergraduate tuition.
