The Master's in Pharmaceutical Sciences (MSPS) program aims to cultivate students' expertise in fundamental and applied research. With its laboratory-focused thesis requirement, the MSPS provides both theoretical understanding and hands-on experience essential for careers in pharmaceutical research, development, and related areas (including academic and government research regulation). The curriculum emphasizes deepening students' knowledge of drug chemistry and their biological impacts across healthy and diseased states, equipping graduates for technical roles in pharmaceutical R&D, regulatory affairs, and sales. Core courses concentrate on foundational scientific principles alongside specialized techniques applicable to pharmaceutical careers in industry, academia, and government. Each student completes a laboratory thesis project under faculty guidance, exploring a pharmacotherapeutic research question. This combination of coursework and research prepares graduates to excel in drug discovery, evaluation, regulation, and commercialization across both private and public organizations.
