RIT's physics program provides comprehensive knowledge of the fundamental laws that dictate matter's structure and behavior, energy production and transfer, and how matter and energy interact in our world.
Physics is an ever-evolving field. While some physicists focus on theoretical concepts like time's essence and the universe's beginnings, others apply their expertise to practical domains such as cutting-edge materials, electronic and optical innovations, and medical technology development. They frequently create and conduct scientific experiments using advanced equipment, then derive meaningful insights from their observations and analyses.
RIT's physics program establishes a strong base in experimental, computational, and theoretical physics while enhancing analytical and problem-solving abilities. The program prioritizes lab experience as students investigate core principles about matter's structure and behavior, energy dynamics, and matter-energy interactions. This practical training equips graduates for either advanced studies or immediate professional opportunities.
