Students who haven't declared a business major have up to 18 months to investigate RIT's seven business programs before selecting the one that aligns with their professional objectives. The business exploration track is tailored for undecided students who require additional time to examine various business fields and identify which program best suits their ambitions. This pathway ensures you maintain progress toward graduation while sampling introductory courses across RIT's business offerings: accounting, finance, global business management, hospitality and tourism management, management information systems, marketing, or supply chain management.
During the exploration phase, you'll have up to three semesters to study fundamental business concepts while testing introductory courses in your preferred business disciplines. First-year students will receive support to consult with RIT professors, staff, and career counselors as they evaluate different business programs. Advisors offer continuous support throughout this process, helping with course choices and ultimately guiding you through the major declaration process.
