Rice University's professional master's program (M.Ch.E.) in chemical engineering provides a non-thesis degree option to enhance students' readiness for careers in chemical engineering. This two-semester (Fall and Spring) curriculum is tailored for recent graduates holding a bachelor's in chemical engineering.
The program also accommodates students with undergraduate degrees in other fields, though they typically require extra semesters to complete foundational coursework that chemical engineering graduates have already taken (such as chemical engineering design and process control). Depending on individual backgrounds, students may be advised to take preparatory courses before tackling graduate-level material.
