The Energy Geoscience program (previously known as Subsurface Geoscience) is designed for students with a geology background seeking expertise in their chosen field. Participants can select among four specialization tracks, equipping them to utilize geological principles and geophysical techniques for discovering and extracting oil and gas resources, or to develop capabilities in handling energy data, or to adapt their expertise to emerging sectors in the energy transition.
Degree requirements emphasize rigorous technical coursework, management and policy studies, communication training, and incorporate an industry internship or practical experience. Students customize their curriculum by choosing electives within a specialization track (listed below) or from diverse courses aligned with their professional goals.
