The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) for Experienced Teachers is a 36-credit, non-thesis graduate program designed to address the professional development needs of working educators. This flexible program allows participants to pursue Texas principal certification as an optional component. The curriculum blends professional education courses, advanced subject-area studies, and either a capstone project or principal practicum. Our faculty provide personalized guidance, mentorship, and support throughout the program, creating a tailored learning experience that emphasizes excellence in teaching methods and leadership development. Students are challenged to examine their teaching experiences while applying new knowledge from coursework to their professional practice.
