Faculty members offer specialized knowledge in subsurface analysis, with applications ranging from geothermal energy systems and underground storage solutions to mineral deposits including copper and rare metals. Students gain practical skills for careers in geological and geophysical exploration, mineral resource discovery, carbon capture storage, and geothermal power generation.
Our exploration seismology program excels in technique innovation, equipment deployment, data analysis, and geological interpretation. Geophysical approaches are integrated with core principles of crustal movement, rock properties, erosion processes, and subsurface fluid dynamics.
