For those holding a bachelor's degree in any of the five fields mentioned here, our accelerated, affordable program enables you to obtain both a teaching master's degree and certification in slightly more than a year. You'll begin as a full-time graduate student during summer, combining school internships with evening coursework.
Aspiring secondary educators complete three advanced content courses to strengthen subject mastery, alongside classes in instructional methods, classroom leadership, and youth development. Available specialization areas are:

Our network includes 20 Connecticut school districts committed to offering exceptional training opportunities in actual classroom settings. These internships or residencies may also substantially lower tuition expenses.
To facilitate your entry into the teaching profession, we provide comprehensive career transition support featuring resume development sessions, practice interviews, and certification documentation help. Your last semester adapts to your employment status - those with secured positions receive credit-bearing induction support, while others extend their student teaching experience.
