The Juris Doctor/Master of Social Work (JD/MSW) combined degree program equips you with a versatile skill set to advocate for underserved populations and drive meaningful social change. Earning these degrees unlocks opportunities extending far beyond conventional social work practice. You'll gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills to assume leadership positions in diverse sectors such as public interest law, policy development, government operations, nonprofit leadership, and social innovation.
With comprehensive coursework and immersive fieldwork, you'll develop expertise in navigating legal frameworks and social service systems to better serve clients and influence policy improvements.
This JD/MSW dual-degree track allows completion in just four years rather than the typical five years needed for separate degrees. The program offers adaptable scheduling - you can start with either law or social work studies based on your professional aspirations. Note that neither degree will be awarded until all requirements for both programs are satisfied.
