When our existing majors don't perfectly align with your interests, we're delighted to assist in crafting a customized program tailored just for you. The opportunities are boundless. For instance, one alumnus who developed a social entrepreneurship concentration relocated to Kenya to collaborate with an organization empowering African farmers to unite and improve their earnings. Other scholars have embraced this personalized major pathway to investigate fascinating interdisciplinary areas like global humanitarian initiatives, Andean economic progress, and societal transformation through advocacy.
While you'll have significant autonomy in shaping your unique major, the College of Arts and Sciences and faculty mentors will provide substantial guidance in course selection. Many students start planning their specialized curriculum during freshman or sophomore year, though proposals can be submitted as late as the first term of junior year.
Like all traditional majors, you'll gain well-rounded knowledge through our core requirements. International study options and diverse internship experiences remain accessible. Each personalized academic journey culminates in a senior-year capstone project that synthesizes your specialized focus.
