The English Department at Purdue University Northwest provides a Bachelor of Arts program with concentrations in Literature, Writing, and Teaching. The Literature track offers the most comprehensive curriculum, focusing on in-depth examination of texts within their cultural, historical, and structural frameworks. Writing students gain hands-on experience in professional communication across business, industrial, print, and digital media, equipping them for careers in publishing, editing, content creation, and technical writing. The Teaching concentration, developed in collaboration with the School of Education, readies students for English instruction in public schools. Additionally, students can pursue minors in English or Professional Creative Writing.
