Purdue University boasts a distinguished legacy in organic chemistry, highlighted by groundbreaking contributions to boron chemistry and transition-metal catalyzed cross-coupling—achievements that earned Nobel Prizes for Prof. H. C. Brown and Prof. Ei-ichi Negishi. Today, we expand upon this foundation to address pressing global issues, including healthcare and disease, sustainable synthesis and production, environmental concerns, as well as advancements in computing, AI, and automation. Applicants are ordinarily expected to hold a bachelor's degree from a college or university of recognized standing prior to registration, and should have achieved a grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or higher.
