The White Lodging-J.W. Marriott School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) stands as a world-renowned institution for hospitality education. According to the Journal of Hospitality Education, Purdue's HTM program holds top positions across undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels. As an applied business discipline, HTM equips students with the skills needed for executive roles in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
Through HTM's Boiler Bistro, John Purdue Room, and Union Club Hotel, along with two compensated internships (domestically and internationally), students gain practical experience at diverse venues including restaurants, resorts, sports complexes, private clubs, tourism boards, and lodging establishments. The program offers exceptional global learning opportunities, such as the prestigious Shangri La Hotels partnership in China, featuring one of the most distinguished internship and study abroad initiatives available.
For those interested in financial specialization, the optional finance track provides comprehensive training in financial management and corporate decision-making. The curriculum includes specialized courses in portfolio management, business finance, global financial markets, and additional relevant topics.
