In the geology and geophysics program, students explore mathematics, chemistry, and physics while completing classes in physical and historical geology, earth materials, surface dynamics, plate tectonics, structural geology, sedimentation and stratigraphy, computational analysis, field techniques, and a summer field camp. The curriculum offers various electives for specialized study in areas like seismology, crustal dynamics, engineering geology, hydrogeology, and other geology-related subjects. This program combines faculty-led instruction, laboratory work, field trips, and promotes undergraduate research opportunities.
