The Krannert School of Management provides a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Economics program. This challenging yet fulfilling major equips students with an understanding of contemporary economic systems and develops their ability to examine economic issues and assess government policies. BS Economics students gain expertise in applying economic principles and interpreting economic data, qualifying them for diverse roles such as analysts, advisors, managers, statisticians, financial professionals, and more across private enterprises, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. Our alumni consistently achieve professional success and are highly sought after. A significant portion pursue advanced degrees, with approximately 25% continuing directly into graduate programs in economics, business, law, finance, or related disciplines. Students aiming for a PhD in Economics or similar quantitative fields are encouraged to consider the Economics BS Honors track.
