Learners gain comprehensive knowledge in family and developmental studies, with specialization options in early childhood development or family/community wellness. The degree concludes with a customizable capstone project, where students select from three pathways: professional fieldwork, academic research, or international study opportunities.
This major is housed within the Human Development and Family Studies Department, situated in Hanley Hall and Fowler House. HDFS undergraduates benefit from rigorous coursework, individualized support, and practical learning experiences that prepare them for professional success.
