The Leadership & Management specialization equips graduates with enhanced skills for supervisory and leadership roles within agribusiness technology sectors. The four-course sequence in Organizational Leadership and Supervision (or Technology Leadership and Innovation) leads to an Organizational and Leadership Supervision minor, providing additional professional qualifications. Students will simultaneously earn a Food and Agribusiness Management Minor.
Agricultural Systems Management (ASM) trains professionals to operate eco-friendly, technology-driven enterprises. The curriculum focuses on strategizing and overseeing industrial or commercial projects with full accountability for outcomes. ASM builds expertise in integrating equipment and infrastructure with plant and animal production systems, requiring strong biological science knowledge to ensure premium product quality.
Digital competencies are developed and applied across the program. Students utilize computers for data collection, analysis, and subsequent process automation, along with designing equipment layouts and creating professional report graphics.
ASM students complete coursework in communications, business administration, and agricultural sciences alongside their core Agricultural and Biological Engineering classes. The program delivers specialized technical training for implementing cutting-edge technologies across food, feed, fiber, and biofuel production systems. Graduates emerge ready to address diverse business and technical challenges in this expanding career field.
