Art History students develop critical thinking skills, research methodologies, and theoretical knowledge while mastering written and oral communication. The curriculum intersects with interdisciplinary programs including classical studies, Latin American and Latino Studies, gender studies, and Italian Studies. Art history majors are required to pursue a complementary minor. Graduates can pursue careers in education, museums, art galleries, art journalism, or continue to graduate studies.
Like all liberal arts disciplines, this major cultivates essential management competencies: effective communication, interpersonal insight, creative problem-solving, and the ability to synthesize complex concepts.
