Princeton boasts one of America's most extensive political theory faculties, offering expertise in both traditional and modern perspectives. Special focus areas include democratic principles, international political philosophy, public policy ethics, classical political ideas, and modern European and American political philosophy. Princeton's approach to political theory bridges multiple disciplines, with scholars and students frequently collaborating with departments of philosophy, classical studies, religious studies, historical research, the Political Philosophy Program, and the Human Values Center.
