Mathematics forms an integral part of scientific and philosophical exploration. The methodical, logical approach that defines mathematics serves as a crucial foundation for constructing theories across disciplines, as its exacting nature reveals underlying premises, contradictions, and surprising connections between seemingly disparate problems. Our curriculum encompasses both time-tested mathematical principles and cutting-edge developments that provide essential frameworks for scientists and engineers. Students start with intensive training in analytical reasoning and proof techniques through linear algebra and mathematical analysis. They then gain exposure to modern mathematics through foundational courses in real/complex analysis, algebra, and either geometry/topology or discrete mathematics. Subsequently, learners can choose from diverse offerings in pure and applied mathematics to develop broad familiarity with active research domains. Through independent projects, students transition from textbook learning to engaging with current mathematical literature, working alongside fellow students and active researchers in mathematics or related applied fields.
Academic record is evaluated within the context of your educational system and school curriculum. Your academic record should include any available internal grades from classes, achieved marks from external exams (for example: (I)GCSE, British A-Level, International Baccalaureate, national leaving exams such as Std X/Std XII in India), or a combination of both.
If English is not your native language and you are attending a school where English is not the language of instruction, you must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the International English Language Testing System Academic (IELTS Academic) or the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic). You are not required to take the TOEFL, IELTS or PTE Academic if English is your native language or if you have spent at least three years at a secondary school where English is the primary language of instruction.
