Students explore various ideas, materials, and techniques that embody modern 21st-century artistic practices. Through individual and group critiques, along with discussions involving faculty, visiting artists, and classmates, they deeply examine the philosophical, analytical, and practical aspects of creating art. The Sculpture Curriculum fosters innovation and interdisciplinary approaches to three-dimensional and time-based art. It incorporates both traditional and avant-garde concepts, covering a wide range of methods and skills.
All applicants to graduate programs at Pratt must have received a four year bachelor's degree from an institution in the United States that is accredited by a recognized regional association or have been awarded the equivalent of the bachelor's degree from an international institution of acceptable standards by the term in which they plan to enroll.
TOEFL score of 79 (internet and home test), TOEFL ITP Plus for China of 550, IELTS of 6.5, Duolingo of 105, or PTE of 53 is required.
