Pittsburg State University's Chemistry Department, in collaboration with its Plastics Engineering Technology program and the Kansas Polymer Research Center, provides undergraduates with one of the country's most distinctive and high-quality polymer chemistry programs. As one of just three undergraduate polymer chemistry programs nationwide, this curriculum allows students to launch careers as professional polymer chemists in just four years. The program's excellence stems from its experienced instructors and intimate class settings (averaging 15 students), guaranteeing personalized attention and mentorship. High School Academic Records: A minimum GPA (grade point average) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) in high school and have earned a high school diploma
International College/University Academic Records: A minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) in an accredited international post-secondary institution (college/university)
U.S. College/University Academic Records: A minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) if transferring from an accredited U.S. college with at least 24 credit hours (approximately one year of college work)
English Language Requirement
TOEFL score of at least 68 (iBT) is required. In addition, a minimum score of 15 is required in each section (internet).
IELTS: Overall score of 6.0 with a minimum score of 5.0. in each band of the IELTS is required. If a lower score is earned in any of the five band scores, the overall score cannot be accepted.
PTE: Overall score of 47.
Application Deadline: Fall Semester – June 1st, Spring Semester – October 15th.
