The BASDH Bridge program is designed for licensed dental hygienists who completed their dental hygiene degree or certificate in Washington State from 1973 onward at an institution accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Pierce College recognizes Washington State dental hygiene degrees/certificates, active and valid WA State dental hygiene licenses, or active and valid U.S. dental hygiene licenses to fulfill about 40 out of the 60 required upper-division quarter credits for the BASDH degree. This fully online Bridge BASDH program has no clinical requirements except for teaching observations. However, service learning and education courses might involve observations in dental hygiene, dental assisting, or dental school environments.
