The Associate in Science in Physics for Transfer Degree prepares students to transfer as juniors with priority admission to CSU programs in Physics or related fields for bachelor's degree completion. Requirements include: Completing 60 semester units (90 quarter units) transferable to CSU, comprising: (A) Either IGETC or CSU General Education requirements, and (B) At least 18 semester units (27 quarter units) in a major/emphasis area as defined by the community college. A minimum 2.0 GPA is required, with all major courses completed with a C grade or higher. The degree requires no more than 60 semester units. This program also facilitates transfer to UC or other four-year institutions for Physics majors. Students should meet with a counselor to confirm transfer requirements.
