The Associate in Arts in Psychology for Transfer (AA-T) program is designed to fulfill the lower-level course requirements for psychology or related majors within the California State University (CSU) system. Psychology education focuses on the scientific examination of biological, cognitive, and environmental influences on human behavior. AA-T degree students will explore human development, fundamental aspects of perception, learning, thought processes, motivation, physiological foundations, personality traits, psychological disorders, and how psychological principles enhance life quality.
Upon completing this degree, graduates will demonstrate the ability to:
Express ideas clearly and accurately through speech, body language, and writing when discussing psychological theories, research findings, and practical applications.
Demonstrate comprehension of the connection between biological systems and psychological functioning.
Utilize psychological knowledge to better understand and assist diverse cultural groups in their psychological growth.
