The Economics Associate in Arts for Transfer program offers a structured curriculum designed to equip students for transfer to four-year universities as Economics majors or to gain essential economics knowledge for careers valuing economic or accounting expertise.
This economics program delivers a progressive learning path to prepare you for university transfer as an economics major or to develop the economic skills needed for professions that prioritize economic literacy. Participants must finish 60 transferable semester units for California State University, encompassing both: (1) The Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) or CSU General Education Breadth Requirements, and (2) 23 major-specific semester units with grades of C or higher, while maintaining a minimum 2.0 GPA across all transferable CSU courses. Note that Pass (P) grades aren't accepted for major courses. We recommend consulting with an advisor or department chair to confirm transfer prerequisites and obtain further guidance.
