The Associate of Arts degree will be granted after successfully completing the specified major coursework along with the General Education requirements outlined in the Degrees and Programs section of this Catalog. This Accounting AA program prepares graduates for accounting careers while also establishing a strong foundation for students planning to transfer to a
four-year university to pursue Accounting studies. To support student achievement in Accounting/Business, COA provides a high-quality tutoring program available at no cost to all enrolled students.
Professional Pathways
Graduates may qualify for entry-level accounting roles in private practice, CPA firms, banking positions, consumer credit management, financial analysis, financial planning, loan processing, insurance evaluation, and investment account management.
