Pepperdine's Master of Dispute Resolution (MDR) program caters to students pursuing careers across diverse legal and non-legal fields. Conflict resolution studies extend far beyond traditional legal practice. Graduates have successfully utilized their MDR training in sectors such as HR management, policing, corporate consulting, academic settings, and global relations.
More than 95% of court-filed cases are resolved through alternative dispute resolution methods including mediation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations. Legal professionals and non-lawyers alike are choosing to develop these essential skills for modern conflict management. Pepperdine's experiential learning model, combining theory with practical simulations and interactive workshops, effectively trains students to navigate disputes in multiple professional contexts.
Master of Dispute Resolution programs require a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent).
International applicants are required to demonstrate English proficiency via the TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo English Test
