The theatre screen arts program blends traditional theatre performance education with comprehensive film production training. This interdisciplinary major perfectly suits students passionate about creating films while equally valuing technical filmmaking skills alongside on-camera performance. Admission to this competitive program is selective, though applicants not accepted may still pursue a theatre arts degree with concentrations in acting or directing.
In the BA in theatre and screen arts, students master both performance and production techniques, applying them to all facets of film creation - from artistic vision to business operations. Leveraging our proximity to Hollywood, the program offers hands-on learning through analyzing professional productions and implementing these techniques in academic projects and University-sponsored films.
