The Master of Science in Engineering Science and Mechanics is a rigorous 12-month, 32-credit curriculum that mandates the submission of a research paper. This field naturally bridges multiple disciplines by combining fundamental scientific and mathematical principles with various engineering specialties. The program takes a comprehensive approach, applying this knowledge to diverse engineering applications such as design processes, material science, and system development. Areas of study encompass electronics, structural engineering, various energy systems (including nuclear, fossil fuels, petrochemicals, and wind), power generation infrastructure, civil engineering projects, communication technologies, transportation systems, material properties, biomechanics, and even neural engineering applications.
Applicants who hold a baccalaureate degree in engineering, the sciences, mathematics, engineering science, and materials who present at least a 3.00 grade-point average will be considered for admission. Exceptions to the minimum 3.00 grade-point average may be made for students with special backgrounds, abilities, and interests at the discretion of the program.
