The DESIGN graduate program in Engineering Design shapes tomorrow's innovators. It combines engineering with design principles, business, psychology, and arts through hands-on projects. Graduate students acquire comprehensive technical expertise to address challenges across products, systems, processes, and services. Both degree options enable students to refine their comprehensive design abilities while gaining real-world experience in studio settings. Each program allows for examining engineering problems through diverse, situation-specific perspectives from start to finish - cultivating expert designers.
Applicants with at least a 3.00 junior/senior grade-point average (on a 4.00 scale) and appropriate course backgrounds may be considered for admission. Exceptions to the minimum 3.00 grade-point average may be made for students with special backgrounds, abilities, and interests.
English Proficiency: TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT) - a total score of 80 with a 19 on the speaking section for the internet-based test (iBT); TOEFL Paper-based test - the minimum acceptable score is 550; IELTS - The minimum acceptable composite score for the IELTS Academic Test is 6.5.
