The EEFE Master of Science program is a research-focused degree designed to equip students with essential tools, analytical skills, and practical experience for conducting applied research in our core disciplines. This graduate program incorporates rigorous training in scientific methodologies and specialized analytical techniques relevant to these fields. Our Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology, and Education provides advanced studies that develop professionals for leadership positions across industry sectors, government agencies, and academic institutions. Areas of study encompass agricultural education, rural community development, economic sociology, and various applied economics specializations including energy, environment, and food systems.
Students admitted to the M.S. program are expected to have: At least 9 credits in economics, including intermediate undergraduate microeconomic theory and intermediate undergraduate macroeconomic theory; Introductory statistics and two semesters of calculus; A minimum 3.00 junior/senior GPA (on a 4.00 scale).
English Proficiency: TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT) - a total score of 80 with a 19 on the speaking section for the internet-based test (iBT); TOEFL Paper-based test - the minimum acceptable score is 550; IELTS - The minimum acceptable composite score for the IELTS Academic Test is 6.5.
