Penn State Law and the School of Labor Employment Relations in the College of Liberal Arts provide a unique opportunity for law students passionate about human resources and employment relations. Through their collaborative program, students can simultaneously pursue a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Human Resources and Employment Relations (HRER) in an accelerated timeframe. This dual-degree pathway equips graduates for professional roles in employment law, HR management, and labor relations. While typically requiring five years to complete separately, the program's credit-sharing structure condenses this to four years. Following this coordinated curriculum allows students to broaden their academic foundation while improving their employment opportunities.
