Ongoing research focuses on programming languages and compiler development for multicore systems, specialized domain programming, information security protocols, differential privacy mechanisms, software hardening through compilers, error detection techniques, binary code examination, persistent language features, compiler-architecture synergy, and programming language solutions for energy-efficient systems. The PhD candidate will aim to build their research profile, demonstrating expertise through laboratory work and analytical methods, while gaining experience in publishing original findings in conferences and peer-reviewed journals. The Electrical Engineering Department encourages applications from outstanding students holding bachelor's or master's degrees in electrical engineering or related STEM fields. The program requires completion of 39 technical course credits and two colloquium credits beyond the undergraduate degree.
