This program allows students to explore workplace dynamics and employment relations within a liberal arts framework. It offers a comprehensive base of theoretical and practical knowledge through interdisciplinary studies. Both the B.A. and B.S. degrees incorporate insights from fields like industrial relations, economics, history, legal studies, sociology, and psychology. The curriculum examines the structure and roles of institutions shaping employment relationships. The B.S. program includes additional quantitative coursework compared to the B.A. track.
Labor and Human Resources graduates pursue careers across business, government, and labor organizations as specialists in labor relations, HR management, research, organizing, consulting, and conflict resolution. The degree also serves as excellent preparation for advanced studies in graduate programs or law school.
