Viticulture refers to the cultivation of grapevines. Texas boasts around 4,400 productive acres dedicated to grape production. Enology encompasses the study and practice of winemaking. The state's thriving wine industry cultivates more than 50 different wine grape varieties. The Viticulture and Enology A.A.S. program focuses on equipping students with essential skills for careers in the grape industry, covering vine cultivation, winemaking processes, and winery management.
