Pace Law's LLM program in environmental law equips legal professionals to navigate the scientific, economic, and political factors influencing environmental policy, advocating for solutions that safeguard ecosystems while encouraging responsible development. Students can choose from more than 40 specialized courses to fulfill requirements for either the LLM in Environmental Law or the advanced SJD in Environmental Law. The program provides three focused tracks: Global Environmental Law, Land Use and Sustainable Development Law, and Energy and Climate Change Law. The Energy and Climate Change Law specialization, part of Pace Law School's esteemed Environmental Law LLM, addresses today's most pressing environmental challenges. Graduates emerge prepared to confront complex climate policy matters. The curriculum includes foundational classes and specialized offerings such as Climate Change Law, Disaster and Emergency Preparedness Law, Energy Regulation, Environmental Justice, International Environmental Law, and Coastal/Marine Environmental Law. Participants may also engage in the UN Environmental Diplomacy Practicum, an immersive experience where students assist UN delegations with climate policy and sustainability initiatives two days weekly.
