The environmental studies curriculum enables students to deeply examine pressing concerns like ecological sustainability, environmental degradation, economic disparity, species conservation, and natural resource management. This program aims to provide the analytical tools and practical expertise required to develop equitable solutions for today's ecological crises. Through our multidisciplinary framework, students explore these complex topics through diverse lenses including economic systems, moral philosophy, governance structures, historical contexts, and empirical science. Program alumni frequently pursue graduate studies in environmental fields at Pace University or other prestigious schools, or enter professions such as environmental policy, science communication, sustainability education, and habitat preservation. Many graduates also serve as policy advocates at both state and national government levels.
