The Master of Public Policy (MPP) equips students for professional roles in both domestic and global organizations, while also providing advancement opportunities for working professionals seeking career growth. The Ph.D. in Public Policy trains graduates for research-oriented careers across academic, government, private, and nonprofit sectors. The Public Policy Graduate Program welcomes applicants from relevant academic fields, offering degree programs that develop analytical capabilities, policy process expertise, and specialized knowledge in chosen policy domains.
The International Policy specialization readies emerging professionals for global careers in our rapidly evolving economic landscape. Through collaboration with faculty across disciplines—including Economics, Political Science, Sociology, and Agricultural Economics—students gain essential policy analysis techniques and intercultural skills for international work environments. Partnering with OSU International Programs and the International Comparative Rural Policy Studies Consortium, this concentration supports students pursuing overseas study, research projects, or international internships.

A four-year baccalaureate degree or international equivalent a professional degree or an appropriate US Canadian alternative degree from an regionally accredited US or recognized International college or university and a 45quarter credit equivalent graduate degree from a regionally accredited US or recognized International college or university with a cumulative B average equivalent 3.00 on a US 4.00 grading scale on the most recent graduate degree.
TOEFL PBT - 550, TOEFL IBT - 80, IELTS - 6.5
For international applicants we require a TOEFL Minimum Score of 80 -18 minimum for each subscore or IELTS of 6.5 or a minimum Duolingo score of 110.
The GRE is optional and not required for PhD MPP and Executive MPP programs The Executive MPP requires 5 years of relevant professional experience
