The robotics industry has expanded dramatically over the past ten years, maintaining rapid growth momentum. Once limited to specialized professionals, robotic technologies are now entering widespread use. From domestic helpers and advanced prosthetics to self-driving vehicles, caregiving assistants, and emergency response units, robots are integrating into daily life. Exploration drones, surveillance systems, industrial automation, precision farming, and medical robotics are revolutionizing our economy and culture.
Oregon State University Robotics leads this dynamic technological revolution.
Our cross-disciplinary robotics curriculum provides both Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Robotics. Master's students can choose between thesis-based or project-based tracks. The doctoral program equips graduates for careers in industrial, laboratory, or academic settings. Each student collaborates closely with faculty advisors to design a customized study plan aligned with their research interests.
