The Interior Design specialization allows students to concentrate on commercial environments, covering key aspects like spatial organization, climate control systems, illumination strategies, and detailed interior construction requirements.
This professional Interior Design degree program (major code 458) is administered by the College of Business. Initial enrollees are classified as Pre-Interior Design students (major code 454). The foundational curriculum spans the first two years (refer to core requirements listed below), establishing essential skills for advanced design studies. Completion of these preliminary courses is mandatory before progressing to upper-level studio coursework. These foundational classes can be taken either at OSU or at any accredited institution offering transferable equivalent courses.
