Thrive alongside us in the Horticulture Major program. Our alumni pursue careers in eco-conscious agriculture, winery operations, greenhouse and nursery cultivation, developing innovative plant species, healing gardens, sustainable maintenance of golf courses, sports fields, public parks, botanical collections, designed outdoor spaces, city environments and wilderness areas, plus scientific studies of horticultural plants and methods.
We prioritize experiential education and cultivate comprehensive understanding, analytical reasoning, practical troubleshooting, evaluation of unique scenarios, and integration of multidisciplinary concepts. Our curriculum addresses current challenges encountered by horticulture professionals, featuring interactive laboratory sessions, problem-solving exercises, landscape installation projects, and student-led initiatives. Research positions are offered. You'll develop expertise in gathering and combining information to handle the unexpected challenges of a horticultural profession.
